What do you do for work?
I run a communications consultancy, McPherson Strategies, that focuses on social impact and corporate responsibility.
What’s your favorite thing about your job?
Honestly, that every day I’m working with various NGOs, causes and on corporate initiatives that are pushing to improve lives for all individuals. Given the state of our world right now I couldn’t imagine doing any other job.
Biggest parenting fail?
That I never had children (I often say I missed that day at school).
Something no one knows about you?
I’ve had Thanksgiving dinner at both Kevin Bacon/Kyra Sedgwick’s and Bjork’s homes.
Last Google search?
Dr. Mandela (daughter of the late Nelson Mandela). I was interviewing her on stage at the Singularity Summit earlier this morning.
Two: People not putting backpacks and largest bags on the floor on the subway and individuals snapping chewing gum on planes.
Favorite new discovery?
That being alone and single is just fine.
Goal for the remainder of 2019?
Secure a publisher for my book proposal and work my ass off to change the direction this country is heading in.
What’s your fantasy version of your older self?
After completing a visit to the foreign lands I want to encounter, I want to return to my favorites including Sri Lanka, South Africa, Australia and the Finnish Arctic.
