Woolfers in the Wild!
Join us for an adventure in the high desert. Twelve lucky Woolfers will gather by the pool at the legendary 29 Palms Inn to kick off a delicious long weekend of hiking, storytelling, healing, dancing, and much more. The trip is organized for you: lodging, meals and mind-blowing activities chosen with love. We have researched the best in the Joshua Tree area. Just show up and enjoy the ride!
The Hotel: 29 Palms Inn
Bungalows built in the 1930s, most with fireplaces and private sun decks, dot this high desert oasis. 29 Palms Inn sits on the edge of Joshua Tree National Park amidst gorgeous, old palm trees. Itʼs an eclectic collection of small buildings nestled in the untamed desert
landscape. Private, quiet and excellent for star-gazing, this unique inn provides copious breakfast spreads by the pool. Lunches and dinners cooked from vegetables grown on the propertyʼs organic farm, make this spot a favorite homebase for exploring the area. Every room is different, from funky wood cabins to spacious adobe structures.
This rugged desert wilderness best known for its namesake tree, Joshua Tree National Park is a stunning natural wonder. The dry air, the unexpected vistas, the awesome silence and expanse of space. By day, itʼs a rock climberʼs paradise. At night, creatures emerge from hiding and the sky lights up with stars. Weʼll take an early morning hike to feel the full force of the landscape, revealing
itself as the sun comes up. Weʼll understand why the desert energy has drawn mystics and outcasts for centuries. And if weʼre lucky, weʼll spot the cactus blooms doing their springtime ritual.
Take a sound bath in this 1970s structure built of douglas fir without the use of a single nail. The man who made it was a UFO chaser and conspiracy theorist. He chose this spot because it sits on a confluence of powerful geomagnetic fault lines. Today, itʼs the place to come to experience a transcendent state while enveloped in healing sound waves corresponding to the bodyʼs seven chakras. Visitors book their sessions months in advance. Itʼs a high desert pilgrimage that leaves you feeling cleansed and refreshed.

Nina will be there, and depending on how full the trip gets, our travel planning partner and Woolfer, Nan Doyle, will also be along. It’s cheaper to take a double, so hopefully pals will sign up, otherwise we’ll try to pair people up as well as we can.
If you buy a single, you’ll have a room all to yourself. If you buy a double, you’ll be sharing a room with a buddy. The hotel is super cool, and you’ll all love it, but the accommodations definitely lend themselves to girls on a high-end camping trip.
If you decide to book a double room, just send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org after booking to let us know who you want to room with.
It is, and also the next weekend, April 19/20. It’s an hour away, worlds away in terms of the scene, so we don’t see any conflict. Or you could go to both!
Hiking gear, sunscreen, a bathing suit, a spirit of openness, and a desire to connect with new and old girlfriends in a gorgeous, relaxing spot.
